Changing the mask

Yesterday, I found out that the disposable blue masks are a lot more comfortable that the reusable masks. I am a convert.

I have also altered the thickness of my "fitting in" mask. More of me is being revealed in Spain. I have been able to say what social events are too much for me and just not go! Before, I felt the pressure to attend loud and crowded places.

My second week of teaching is over and ithas been busy. There have been some teaching wins, but also some teaching fails.

I am trying to make the most of my time here. I have visited the Cathedral, The Silk Exchange, Central Market, the Science museum and the 4D cinema. All on my own! Tomorrow, I am going to the aquarium.

My confidence is growing getting out and about on my own. Oddly, I struggle getting public transport back home especially as I can depend on the car.

I don't know what the next half of my time here will bring, but for the first time in a long time I feel optimistic.
